How Do Gas Prices Affect How Much We Drive?

Category: UncategorizedTags: ,

With summer fast approaching, many are getting ready to take advantage of the weather and hop in the car for road trips, family vacations and camping. We also need to get ready for the inevitable price jump that hits gas stations across the country as demand for fuel soars. Yes, it’s that season when prices at the pump mysteriously rise to gouge the eager masses. Our year-over-year plotting of gas rates by month show that the rise and fall can at times be random or based on extraneous factors, but the consistent trend is actually quite cyclical.

Very poorly designed chart.

Usually a chart or graph makes it easier to understand the numbers you’re publishing. This one does the opposite. It makes no sense at all.

Supply and demand… gasp!

This is why Honda is one of the best companies around. They understand “supply and demand.” Yes they peaved the American public off by saying, “Americans are too ignorant to understand “Lean Manufacturing!” (When I worked at Whirlpool Corporation Ft. Smith, AR Division I was on the LMT Committee and also an ideation committee. We put those very principles to work. What looked like cutting jobs helped in ergonomics; helped diminish downtime-the worst enemy of any company; and helped with goal sharing) [I know Whirlpool is outsourcing jobs, but I do want to take this opportunity to thank retired CEO Dave Whitwam and everyone else for giving me the opportunity to work and make really good money! God bless! I took the buy-out and became a licensed massage therapist and I work in the oil/gas industry inspecting drill pipe for a living. WE NEED TO CURB OUR DRIVING HABITS! It doesn’t take a rocket scientist! Going to the grocery store every single night to cook dinner is retarded! Take an inventory of what you need and order accordingly for each night that day/night!
