To the person saying people that settled for buying knock off of apple products… I own a my touch, I had an iphone and hated it. I am a huge apple fan and I own an ipod and a macbook and I will never look back to pcs or any other mp3 players. But in my opinion the my touch is superior to the iphone.

Mytouch is not an i-phone knock off – bet iphone user would wish they have access to android~

and no I do not want a mac – a toy that is over priced and over rated.

I have a mytouch 3g and am very impressed with it, new apps are coming out all the time for android. I have friends that have the iphone and all are jealouse that our OS gets updated over the air for free and I don’t have to buy a new phone to get a newer version OS.

in what ways is the mytouch better than the iphone its the same thing almost except you can jailbreak an iphone to do more than mytouch and palm pre. the bottomline is if you know how to use the technology the iphones possibilities are almost endless whereas the mytouch just does what it does. Why should we be jealous of the android market we have fucking cydia, you losers have your heads so far up your ass you cant see that google is just copying and buying out everything from apple..which like i said you can get on the iphone with cydia.

Actually, Android is sort of a already jailbreaked iphone. I never had a iphone, but I had an Ipod touch, and got to say, the Android Market is much more open and customizable. You can get different browsers, music players, even dialers (like Caller ID Faker) without any hacks or voiding your warranty. Whats good for users, but bad for developers is many apps are free on Android, and you have to pay for iphone. Mytouch can do many cooler features. There are apps where you can download free music, edit any sound file to make ringtones. Running apps in background is fantastic. I can download a couple songs, while playing a song, and playing a game, then pause the game, check and send a message, than continue the game where i left off. All that with very minimal lag. I would say iphone and touch beats the hell out of it in games and graphics. Bigg loss considering i love playing games. Iphone is capable of a lot,, but apple restricts the apps which forces people to jailbreak it to bring it up to pace with other phones. They restrict content, anything that will use the phones sources other than internet (like different cameras), and many other apps that people would love, but apple doesn’t want people to have. The only area where them being tough on approving apps is performance. If it is to glitchy or crashes, Apple will not allow it. Hope android had tougher approval even though I have not had many issues, but reviews on many apps tends to say “force close on [insert name] phone”. Probably because there are many Android phones with different features versus about 7nish iphone and ipod touches made by same company and basically same features.
