The first Forbes Midas List ranked David among the world’s top 10 venture investors. David has invested in network technology (Ciena, P-Com), internet services (PSI-Net, Keynote, Flycast, Netli) and consumer internet companies (Hotjobs, Blue Nile). In 1995, he co-founded Verisign as a Bessemer-funded spinout of RSA, serving as VeriSign’s initial Chairman. David received an A.B. in math and computer science and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.

Since joining Trinity Ventures in 1996, Gus has specialized in funding early-stage companies pioneering new market categories. Gus Tai has led investments in Photobucket, Blue Nile (NILE), eSurance, mSpot, PlayFirst, Wetpaint and ScanR. Prior to Trinity Ventures, Gus began his operational career in engineering management at Digital Equipment Corporation. He also worked at Bain & Company, consulting to technology firms on new product development and business strategy. Gus is a Director of the MIT Club of Northern California and the Chinese Software Professionals Association Gus received an A.B. in applied mathematics from Harvard University, an M.S. in materials science and engineering from MIT and an M.B.A. from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
